Herb and Cindy Garvin are recently retired professionals. We are fulfilling our dream to travel to places we would love to settle in for a time, enjoy the culture, shop with the locals, and care for an owner's home.  We have retirement income to meet our living expenses and house sitting would add even more to our comfortable lifestyle. 

 

We are an active, mature couple seeking a house sitting position in Mexico.  We enjoy long walks, reading, internet, and TV.  We tend to be home bodies and save our travel for between house sitting positions.  We are available now to care for your home.





We guarantee that your home will rarely be unattended and your pets will have plenty of company while you are away.

We find that house sitting adds depth to our expatriate adventures.  It gives us an opportunity to have a closer relationship with our neighbors and locals in the community.  As home and pet owners, we share in the belief that we should treat others’ homes as our own.

We lived full-time in Mexico for several years and we are comfortable and familiar with the culture and the Spanish language.  We feel “at home” in Mexico.  We have visited Mexico over the past twenty years and traveled the country by RV, airplane, bus, train, taxi, ferry, and car.  

 

If you have pets that need care, we have had pets throughout our lives and we truly appreciate the importance of knowing that they are being well tended and their regular schedule is adhered to. We are fit people who enjoy walking so you can be assured that your pet's exercise routine will be maintained.

We both worked as travel agents in Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico for two years and are comfortable with day to day life in Mexico.  We have had extended stays in Cuyutlan, Tequisquiapan, Oaxaca, Chapala and traveled in every state in Mexico.

We have had extensive background checks and are drug free.  We both have valid drivers’ license and dependable transportation.  Herb is a licensed security officer (Texas) and formerly licensed Real Estate Agent (Oklahoma).
